Halifax Plays The Field With Buttons

February 20, 2014

Halifax GaelsWe are thrilled to have teamed up with the Halifax Gaels GAA to produce their league buttons. By doing so we where introduced to a sport that we had no idea even existed. The sport is Hurling, the object of this outdoor game is for players to use a wooden stick called a Hurley to hit a small ball called a Sliotar between the opponents goalposts either over the crossbar or under the crossbar into a net guarded by a goal keeper. This sport is of Irish origin and is said to be the fastest gameplay sport.

We LOVE it when Six Cent Press gets the opportunity to work with and meet new customers from Atlantic Canada. Like the region it self, the custom pin back buttons we produce for Festivals and celebrations bound for places like Newfoundland Labrador, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia always come with a rich and diverse cultural feel. Perhaps a visit to Newfoundland Labrador is in order sooner then later?!
