1979 Pete Rose Button

In keeping with this morning’s baseball theme, here’s a Pete Rose button from 1979. This is a big 3″ button from his days as a Phillie.

10 years after this button was released Rose agreed to permanent ineligibility from baseball amidst accusations that he gambled on baseball games while playing for and managing the Reds. The button and the alleged illegal gambling are not thought to be related.
