Hicks On Sticks Movie

May 31, 2011

Hicks on Sticks is a feature length documentary currently being made by two Vancouver filmmakers that chronicles the 1999 PM Skateboards tour of Western Canada where a group of well-meaning misfits travelled 2800 kms and put on 8 music and skateboards exhibitions in 11 days with almost no budget whatsoever.

Pure passion and tons of original footage. If you were into skateboarding in the 90s this one is not to be missed.

In 1999, skateboard company owner, Ian Comishin, embarked on a journey in the unknown. He organized a tour with his skateboard team and 2 bands to travel across western Canada putting on shows in small towns. With financial sponsorship dropping out at the last minute and Ian’s willingness to dive into company debt, it all unfolds, propelling him to an end he never anticipated.
